The handcrafted Original Butterscotch Liqueur from the Kaltenthalers family distillery combines sweet notes of butter, caramel, vanilla and chocolate.

The Kaltenthaler family owns a prestigious BIO wine and vinegar manufactory in the German region of Rheinhessen. In addition to winemaking, they were early involved in the craft distillation of spirits such as fruit brandies, wine brandies, grape liqueurs and herbal liqueurs, so Felix Georg Kalthenthaler can boast of being a third-generation distiller. The Butterscotch Original Caramel Liqueur has been produced for several years, but has undergone an all-around design makeover to appear more modern. The liqueur relies on the sweet, creamy taste of butterscotch (a sweet made from brown sugar and butter). It is finally enhanced by natural flavors of vanilla and melted chocolate. The Kaltenthaler family has been able to garner much praise for the result, as they have managed to create a smooth liqueur with pleasant sweetness and mild alcoholic notes that tastes like liquid butter caramel. Most customers drink the liqueur on the rocks or infused with one part cream or one part espresso.
