Bols OUDE GENEVER 1 Liter / 35 % Holland

A genever with tradition: the malty, juniper-heavy schnapps is produced at Bols according to an old recipe.

The Bols Zeer Oude Genever Steen from Amsterdam is of a pleasantly malty nature, which is due to the use of "Malt Wine", a fermented mixture of various malted grains. As an "oude Genever", i.e. old-school juniper schnapps, it must have at least 15% malt wine content and less than 20 grams of sugar per liter. Bols Zeer Oude Genever is also aged for some time in oak barrels, which gives it its characteristic color. Because it is packaged in earthenware bottles, you will only notice it as soon as the jenever flows into the glass.
