The Italian liqueur of Disaronno with the characteristic marzipan flavor is one of the oldest and most famous Amarettos. The Diesel Limited Edition Collection contains a 70cl bottle and four 5cl bottles in a chic denim design.

The term amaretto is commonly used for liqueurs made from almonds or apricot kernels that have a nutty, marzipan-like aroma. The term derives from the word "amaro" (= bitter) and is used because this type of liqueur was originally flavored with bitter almonds. In fact, Disaronno is the oldest Amaretto and is said to have originated during the Renaissance, in 1525 to be precise, when a tavern owner in Saronno prepared the liqueur for her guests using brandy, apricot kernels and other spices. Commercial marketing began at the beginning of the 20th century. In the 1960s, large quantities of Disaronno were exported to the United States and Europe for the first time; a little later, an Italian master glazier developed the characteristic square bottle made of shiny thin glass. Since then, only the label has been slightly modified to reflect the times. Today, Amaretto Disaronno is made from neutral alcohol, burnt sugar, apricot kernels and 17 fruits and spices. Officially, it is no longer called Amaretto, but simply "Disaronno Originale" liqueur.
For this limited edition, the manufacturer collaborated with the Italian fashion company Diesel, which is known worldwide for its denim jeans. Fittingly, the bottle was wrapped in the unmistakable blue denim.
