Bruichladdich Black Art 04.1 1990 Edition 23 Years Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Cask Strength 49,2% Vol. - the 4th release of a legendary 23 year old single malt whisky by Bruichladdich

Bruichladdich Black Art: The black magic and special art of Jim McEwan Over the years, the Master Distiller created a fine, elegant, incredibly complex malt in the secluded and dark warehouse no.12. Its chestnut brown color and indescribable aromas seduce the eye, the nose and the palate in an extremely provocative way. The Bruichladdich Black Art 04.1 was matured for more than 23 years in selected American Oak and French red wine barrels and was only available in an edition of 6,000 bottles. Since the reopening of Bruichladdich by the independent bottler Murray McDavid in 2000 - and especially under the management of Jim McEwan, the distillery and its whisky has shone with a brilliance like never before. Jim McEwan - born on Islay and former master distiller at Bowmore - made a return to the original and natural in the production of Scotch whisky. For this reason, almost all Bruichladdich bottlings are not cool-filtered and without added colorants.

The fourth release of the legendary Bruichladdich Black Art whisky. With the recipe a mystery to everyone apart from the creator, it s still a cryptic enigma. This fourth incarnation of the now legendary Black Art is as enigmatic as ever, the composition of casks a mystery to all but is creator. Working with the very finest American and French oak to explore that most esoteric relationship between spirit and wood, Black Art is Master Distiller Jim McEwan's personal voyage into the heart of Bruichladdich.
