The Absinthe from the Matte distillery in Bern has a strong wormwood note and pronounced bitterness. Distilled exclusively with local ingredients and handmade and bottled.

The Matte Absinthe from the Matte distillery in Bern boasts that it is made exclusively by hand. In Matte distillery everything revolves around the 150 liter kettle, in which gin is distilled along with absinthe. All the ingredients, from the grain alcohol from Alcosuisse to the wormwood of the Val de Traverse, as well as peppermint, lemon balm, coriander, aniseed, fennel and hyssop, come from the region. This is why the distillery prides itself on supporting the local agriculture and keeping transport routes short. With 52% alcohol content, the strong wormwood note and a pronounced bitterness, this Absinthe is at once soft and balanced, but still comes along with a fresh mint note. The clear, simple bottle is filled by hand, corked and sealed.
