The story of "Baileys Irish Cream", or "Baileys" for short, began in the early 1970s, when "Gilbeys of Ireland", a division of International Distillers & Vintners, was looking for an internationally marketable product. In November 1974 then came as result of the "Baileys" on the British market, since 1979 "Baileys" is represented also in Germany, today under the Aegide of "Diageo". Three years ago, the "standard portfolio" of the "Baileys" was already accompanied by a kind of luxury edition, the "Baileys Chocolat Luxe", refined with genuine Belgian chocolate.
Now this luxury edition gets company in the form of "Baileys XC", an "Exceptional Cream Liqueur", which in addition to the "Baileys" -normal ingredients still contains a dash of cognac as a special treat. Which cognac is silent on "Diageo"? This "Baileys XC" is bottled with 17 Vol% in noble bottle with noble label.
Bright caramel colors, he encounters the nose first with fine cream notes, underneath, tender traces of malt, vanilla and caramel emerge, which combine with a fine, due to the cognac seasoning below.
