The Springbank Distillery is unique! Springbank is the oldest independent distillery in family ownership. Founded in 1828 by Archibald Mitchell, today it is owned by Hedley G. Wright. Springbank is the only distillery in Scotland where the entire production process takes place in-house. The products are therefore subjected to constant expert control during each individual production step, thereby meeting the highest quality requirements. Springbank produces a hand made whiskey using traditional production methods. Focus on the human being, where years of knowledge are essential and the machines are only a means to an end. Springbank is the only Distillery that has not subjected its whiskeys to cooling filtration since its inception, and has never used artificial coloring agents Springsbank is also the only distillery in Scotland that produces 3 different single malts - Springbank, Longrow and Hazelburn, which are made using different production methods.
