Initially, only the Chimay beer was brewed with the red label, later the Chimay Blue was added. The beer was initially intended as a Christmas beer but due to the great success, it is now brewed all year round. It is the strongest of Chimay beers and is therefore suitable for long storage. The brewing year of the beer is on the front of the label. Especially the Chimay Blue Grande Resere and the other 2 Chimay beers, the second fermentation in the bottle, which develops the beer a very unique flavor with a complex taste.
