Trappisten Bier

A beer with a unique taste The Orval beer, which remains true to its bitter and fruity character, is a true reference in the very popular world of genuine Trappist beers. The beer of Orval is characterized by its process of high fermentation and a long maturation period, which gives it its complex, fruity, both round and bitter taste. Since 1931, it owes its incomparable taste to the quality of its water, hops and yeast. The recipe is based on a very specific variety of very aroma-containing hop varieties, which go back to the first master brewers of Orval from Bavaria. And his English uncooked hops give him a varied aroma, while maintaining the bitter note. The different fermentation times - combined fermentation with the original yeast and wild yeast and secondary fermentation in the bottle - require a significant maturation time and numerous quality controls.
