Innovative vodka made of pears, in a simple glass bottle with distinctive lettering and cork closure.
The name of the Maund (Jamaican) rum from the Swiss brand "The Wild Alps" goes back to the passionate alpinist and hunter John Oakley Maund, who became famous above all for his ascents in the Montblanc massif. In Weggis on Lake Lucerne and in Schoppernau in Vorarlberg he had a total of three villas built according to the plans of William Morris. The houses in typical English cottage style are still standing today. To extraordinary notoriety, however, the Villa Maund, around which numerous legends entwine. The German Crown Prince Wilhelm used the house for a time as a hunting lodge, and many celebrities went in and out. Finally, Villa Maund served as inspiration for the creations of The Wild Alps. The Schnapz Pear Vodka by The Wild Alps consists (as the English name suggests) of pears. To create the drink, the experts combined the traditional alpine craft of fruit brandy with the distillation technique for vodka. At the Schnapz come no additives, no sugar and no flavoring. Both the smell and the taste are reminiscent of pears. The Wild Alps recommends vodka in combination with tonic water and lots of ice cream.
