From an ancient Piedmontese recipe consisting of 34 herbs and aromatic plants among others gentian, cinchona bark, rhubarb and many others, this exceptional and unique amaro is carefully macerated for several weeks.

History

The "Antica Distilleria Sibona", located only a few kilometers from the town of Alba, is one of the oldest and most traditional distilleries in Italy. It was founded more than 100 years ago and holds the "licenza di distillazione N° 1", a coveted license granted by the tax office exclusively to distilleries rich in tradition.

As a special anecdote, it should be mentioned that in the beginning Sibona distilled with the help of an old converted locomotive, which was replaced by professional stills only in the middle of the 20th century.

Ensuring high quality has always been Sibona's primary goal. Therefore, in order to preserve even the finest fragrances and aromas, only the best grape marc from the Piedmont region is used, which is processed immediately upon arrival at the distillery.

The good quality is further determined by the distillation process. The team of Sibona has thereby continuously improved their already high quality standards through constantly improved distillation techniques and through the great experience of two specialized oenologists.
