Its bright red color, intense aroma and unmistakable bitter taste make it a versatile aperitif and an ideal base for some of the world's most popular cocktails. The reddish-brown colors of this aperitif evoke the warm sensations of Mediterranean summer sunsets. Sprissetto Bitter is made from a balanced blend of bitter herbs, bitter orange, Roman vermouth and rhubarb. It is usually mixed, but the classic, smooth “on the rocks” is not to be sneezed at either.
