The first speciality in a series of new types of limited edition beers, Moritz Red IPA was created by the Moritz Beer Lab originally in a project which was designed to develop the beer culture by creating different types of beers that could only be tasted at the Moritz factory itself in Barcelona.

However, due to its success, this Indian Pale Ale, which is the brand's first high fermentation beer, has been released to the wider world. It was made using three varieties of hops as well as pale and caramel malts which were roasted at high temperatures.
