Whitley Neill Handcrafted Dry Gin 70 cl / 43 % UK

An exotic, fruity premium gin from Birmingham. In addition to the "classic" botanicals, the physalis fruit and the fruit of the baobab tree are also used here.

If you come from a family that has been producing gin for four generations, there is a good chance that the youngest scion of the family will continue the tradition. And not only that: Johnny Neil brought a breath of fresh air. In 2005, the entrepreneur presented his interpretation of a London Dry Gin to the international spirits scene. The extraordinary interest in this gin is first and foremost due to the connection between tradition and modernity in the selection of botanicals. In addition to the classic additions such as juniper berries, lemon and orange peel, coriander, angelica, iris root and cassiarinde, Johnny Neill was inspired by the aromatic diversity of the Black Continent. Thus the fruit of the baobab tree and the gooseberry, better known as physalis, found their way into gin. The baobab tree also adorns the traditional-looking label on the bulbous bottle.
