Was beim Ballantines Brasil noch an das schottischste aller Getränke erinnert, ist der Markenname und ein kleiner Zusatz auf dem Label. Seine 35 %Vol. und die Aromatisierung mit Limettenschalen öffnen Ballantines nun jedoch ein Klientel, das vorher Red Stag- oder Honey Bourbonfans vorbehalten war.
Mit dem Ballantines Brasil öffnet sich das bekannte Blended Scotch Unternehmen selbst Türen zu einem neuen Publikum. Zwar verwöhnt man mit dem neuen Produkt keine Liebhaber schottischer Single Malts. Greift allerdings ein paar Fans von aromatisierten Bourbons ab.
