MCK 77 Southend Gin has its origins in Switzerland, but is made by the sea in Wales.

It is a tribute to the love of Martin Kaufmann for these two great countries.

A London Dry Gin with the scent of grass and fresh flowers, reminiscent of a walk along a headland overlooking the sea.

Each bottle contains a small amount of Welsh Sea Salt to add a touch of salty air in a breeze.

The label / symbolism

It's not obvious but there's more hidden in the design than meets the eye.

Roses: Represent nature, culture and the world-famous English gardens.

Palm trees: Represent the coast and the sea.

Southend lettering: This is designed in graffiti style and stands for modernity and art.

Martin Kaufmann on the story:

"Although I am proudly Swiss and love my country more than anything, I am often asked if I am British.

This probably has its origins in my childhood.

I had a great aunt who lived in Westcliff-on-Sea (a suburb of Southend-on-Sea).

Since then, my fascination for the United Kingdom has been unbroken.

I have visited this great country many times and just can't get enough of it.

It feels like a second home.

When I drink a gin and tonic, I immediately associate it with vacation feelings and would love to be on this beautiful island.

In the beginning, I only had a few bottles, and over the years, I've had more and more.

more and more.

Now there are almost 200 bottles from many different regions of the world.

It is really exciting, no two gins are alike and each has its own story.

This was also the reason for my own gin - to unite what is important to me personally."
