Marchesi di Barolo Barolo DOCG Vigna Cannubi 2019 Red Wine Case 6 x 75 cl / 14.5% Italy

Marchesi di Barolo Barolo DOCG Vigna Cannubi 2019 Red Wine – An intense aroma of dried fruit, followed by notes of ripe forest berries and toast, rises from this full-bodied, persistent wine. On the palate, it displays impressive tannins and a wonderfully harmonious, long-lasting structure.Wine profile Grape variety: Nebbiolo Region: PIEMONTE Alcohol: 14.5% ABV Serving temperature: 16–18°C Closure: Cork About Marchesi di BaroloMore than 200 years ago, the Marquises Falletti, former owners of the winery housed in the historic castle, created the “wine of kings”: Barolo. One of the figures associated with the name Barolo since that time was also a pioneer: Pietro Emilio Abbona, an ancestor of the current owners, introduced the wine of his region and, with it, Cantina Marchesi di Barolo to the world. Even today, the wines from Marchesi di Barolo live up to their illustrious name. They are incredibly powerful and long-lived – and have received numerous international awards for good reason. The regionPiedmont in north-western Italy (“at the foot of the mountains”) lies along the southern foothills of the Alps. The climatic conditions are challenging: here – except in the area around the Po Valley – it is considerably cooler than in the rest of Italy. Short, dry summers give way to foggy autumns and very cold winters. Piedmont’s winegrowers have successfully risen to this challenge: alongside Tuscany, Piedmont produces more of Italy’s finest wines than any other region, with unmistakably full-bodied, complex aromas attributable to these special climatic conditions. The red grape variety Barbera dominates, followed by Dolcetto and Nebbiolo, which is used to make the famous Barolo. The vines thrive at elevations of 150 to 400 metres above sea level on a variety of soils, from clay-rich soils that produce a complex bouquet to limestone-rich sandy soils that lend the wine a powerful structure.Case of 6 bottles, 75 cl each.
