The Jameson Irish Whiskey is a blend of "Pot Still Whiskey" and "Grain Whiskey" and is distilled three times. He spends the maturing time in sherry and bourbon barrels.John Jameson, a native of Scotland, gave up his rewarding civil service job and sailed to Ireland to found his distillery in 1780 on Dublin's famous Bow Street in 1780 - as always, of course, with the goal of making the world's most outstanding whiskey. Did he succeed? The numbers speak for themselves at least: Jameson whiskey is one of the world's best-selling and internationally fastest-growing Irish whiskey brand. The original is a triple-distilled blend of Pot Still Whiskey (= made from malted and unmalted barley) and Grain Whiskey (= made from any grain mash and baked in coffee stills). The special procedure and maturation in sherry and bourbon casks give it a very mild taste with piquant-spicy, nutty and vanilla notes and a hint of sherry.Since 1971, the distillery on Bow Street has continued as an information center and show distillery, while production has been relocated to southern Midleton. Every day there meet the "masters" of whiskey production: These include Cooper Master Buckley, distiller nation, whiskey master Quinn (who is responsible for the scientifically proven manufacturing methods), maturing master O'Gorman and blending champion Leighton. Jameson whiskeys are not smoky unlike Scottish whiskeys - this is because the drying of the malted barley takes place in closed kilns.

According to Jack Daniel's, the new fire whiskey liqueur is "made of fire". In fact, it consists of the classic Old. No 7 and a spicy cinnamon liqueur - ideal for the shot glass.Considering that Jack Daniel's is the best-known and best-selling American whiskey brand in the world, you might be scared about the small assortment. Sure, special editions come out here and there, but the "Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey" is and remains the star of the company. After more than 100 years of "flagship" sole ownership, the Tennessee Rye, Tennessee Honey, Gentleman Jack and Single Barrel Select gradually came out. Since 2016, the Jack Daniel's Fire is now available: A mix of the Old No. 7 and a cinnamon liqueur with 35% alcohol. Strictly speaking, the fire is no longer whiskey, but actually a whiskey liqueur. The taste is slightly spicy, spicy and surprisingly sweet. And how does the Fire want to be consumed? Well chilled as a shot! The Old Fashioned glass can now safely stay at home, because the new variety will appeal in particular party goers and taste adventurers who usually do not take high-end whiskeys.

After an important legislative change, Karl Locher from the Locher Brewery in Appenzell began producing Säntis Malt in 1999. Chivas Regal 21 years ROYAL SALUTE 70 cl / 40% ScotlandThe Chivas Brothers, James and John Chivas began their careers in 1801 as caterers in Aberdeen. The store with exquisite delicacies for the elite of Europe flourished magnificently and one day the brothers came up with the idea to enrich their storage cellars with some barrels of exclusive Scottish whiskey and later even produce them themselves. Starting in the 1840s, they supplied not only Queen Victoria with their high-quality blends, they were also purveyors of K.u.K. Monarchy. Even before, the international breakthrough of the exclusive brand was only a matter of time and it therefore comes as no surprise that Chivas Regal is now the second largest Scotch whiskey manufacturer in the world. Although the company was acquired by the Pernod Ricard Group in 2001, the outstanding quality of the Chivas Blends has always remained the same, a fact that is certainly due not least to the virtuosity of Master Blenders Colin Scott.

The fresh sun-ripened sweetness of the blackberry can now be found in Ole Smoky Blackberry. The rather sour berry leaves a sweet taste in the whiskey. Here in the Ole Smoky 50cl mason jar.Whiskey has been made in Tennessee for centuries, but because of the few licenses, most manufacturers produce illegally - these liquors are called Moonshines. However, when the recession struck the US in 2008, several states sought a way to broaden job opportunities and keep tax revenues. One option for achieving both was the loosening of the laws around the distilleries. Since 2010, the Ole Smoky Distillery, also called "The Holler", attracts many visitors at the foot of the Smoky Mountains and has been the most visited distillery in the United States since its founding. With the help of Master Distiller Dave Pickerell, the company now produces 15 different varieties of Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine in their two branches, which are fired after a 100-year family recipe using local ingredients and sold in traditional mason jars. The Ole Smoky Moonshine Blackberry has been prepared with blackberries and fits very well in fruity mixed drinks.

A blended whisky from Japan's new Hatozaki distillery: while the in-house whisky will be aged for a while, the blend is created from the company's own cask stocks, which include up to 12-year-old whiskies from North America, Scotland and Japan. Most Japanese whiskies that are not from large companies like Nikka or Suntory have their origins in traditional sake breweries. Such is the case with Hatozaki Whisky, which is produced at Akashi-Tai's Kaikyo Distillery, which began operations on the brewery's premises in 2017. In the same year, they distilled the first drops in the Scottish-built pot stills, which will be released as a signature single malt starting in 2022. This makes it obvious that the Hatozaki blended whisky launched in 2019 is not from the company's own distillery. In an interview, owner Kimio Yonezawa revealed that the majority of the whisky's ingredients come from cask stocks sourced from Scotland and the United States. A small proportion of Japanese whiskies is also present, but in Japan it is very atypical for a whisky distillery to rely on distillates from "the competition." The Hatozaki Blended Whisky is thus not a Japanese Whisky through and through, but interesting in that it combines grain spirits from three renowned whisky nations in one bottle. It also provides a good opportunity to get to know the newly launched brand and be convinced of the team's whisky expertise. The blend has a single malt content of at least 40% and contains whiskies that have been allowed to rest for up to 12 years. The flavor profile is slightly sweet, cereal, malty and fruity.

ARDBEG 10 Years Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 70 cl / 46% ScotlandArdbeg 10 years is one of the most famous single malts and is an absolute must for every fan of Islay. No whiskey embodies the mystical character of the island better than Ardbeg with its particularly high peat content. On the rugged banks of the southern part of Islay is the distillery Ardbeg. She prides herself on her private source - the water used by Loch Uigeadail is soft and pure. Nose: Smoky, salt water, iodine-like dryness Taste: Its balanced and deep aroma is characterized by a bewitching blend of caramel, sweet chocolate, cinnamon and phenolic notes. After initial sweetness, intense peat notes quickly develop with hints of tobacco smoke and espresso. Finish: Strong, with lots of iodineThe distillery Ardbeg was founded in 1815, where previously Schwarzbrenner had done their work. In 1817, two years after its founding, it passed into the family estate of the McDougall family and was not handed over to Hiram Walker as a new owner until 1977. This closed the distillery 4 years later. In 1989, thanks to the new owner Allied, it went into operation for a further 7 years, but without malting. Glenmorangie plc saved the jewel in 1997, had the building renovated and then went back into production. Fortunately, the change in ownership of Glenmorangie to Moët Hennessy has not yet had a major impact, except for management changes on the top carpet level.

Extremely complex single highland malt. First 12 years in American oak, then aged 6 months in former sherry casks. Full, round body with a large, lasting finish. The distillery Balvenie was built in 1892 by William Grants and his sons. Even today, the distillery, together with Glenfiddich and Kininvie is owned by the family William Grant & Sons. The name derives from the nearby Balvenie Castle. The New Balvenie Castle, a former manor house, served as a stone supplier for the construction of the distillery. Incidentally, the first stills were purchased second-hand from Lagavulin and Glen Albyn. Today, the distillery has 8 stills with the so-called Balevenie bubble, a balloon between the neck and the still. Today, there are several other distilleries, which also have a similar form of stills. Through the same owner and their proximity to Glenfiddich certain synergies are used. So Balvenie uses the waste heat from Glenfiddich for heating the stills. Also, both use the same source (Robbie Dubh), whose peculiarity is that William Grant at that time bought all the land around up to the two distilleries to make sure that nothing happens to the water or is dried up or polluted by building projects. The family is still very proud of it today. David Stewart, the "boss of the house," as he likes to be called, was the first to put the finishing touch into action, setting in motion a trend that continues today.

REBEL YELL Small Batch RYE Whiskey 70 cl / 45 % USA The Rebel Yell Rye comes from Bardstown and brings woody, sweet and spicy aromas. "The cry of the rebel" - that is the name of this Rye Whiskey. It belongs to a seven-part family of Kentucky whiskeys produced by the Luxrow Distillers in Bardstown, a small town of 14,000 inhabitants in the fertile, but also densely populated Bluegrass region in the western USA. And this since 1849, which was at least the year in which the original Rebel Yell recipe was developed. But the Small Batch Rye was not added until 2015. Rye, corn, barley malt and a little water are used to produce the distillate, which then goes into the maturing phase for an indefinite period of time. A great complexity does not appear during this time, but this is not what we want to achieve here: The Rebel Yell Rye is made for the crowd. The woody, sweet and spicy tones do not disappear when used in cocktails, making this whiskey ideal for Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Sazerac, Boulevardier, Toronto and other alcoholic mixed drinks.

He was finally married and stored in a special solerafass made from Oregon pinewood.

This single malt refined in port wine barrels brought out the Talisker distillery on the island of Skye in 2013 without an age statement.detailsThe Talisker distillery is located on the shores of the Loch Harport and is the only one of its kind on the island of Skye in northwest Scotland. In this secluded and almost inhospitable area, characterized by cold, icy winds and churned up water, the whiskey is "made by the sea". Launched in 2013, Talisker Port Ruighe follows the trend of not having an age statement. For many a whiskey drinker that is a thorn in the side, because he fears that it is a younger, less high quality distillate, which is marketed as a sophisticated oldie. But for true connoisseurs, it does not seem like much more than a number on the bottle label; instead, quite different, more important manufacturing details and, of course, the resulting flavor profile come to the fore. The Talisker Port Ruighe has a lot to show in this respect: He went through a probably several years of maturation in heavily burnt oak barrels of American and European wood and was then refined in port wine barrels. Accordingly, the whiskey pays homage to the maritime merchants, who then went in and out of Ruighe Harbor and did their business with the Portuguese drop. The taste of the liquor convinces with peaty, spicy peppery, spicy and fruity notes
